Install Bluetooth Software

Plug your Bluetooth device into your computer's USB port. You will need your device in place when you install the software so that the hardware and software registry can form necessary links.

Insert the software CD into your computer's CD drive. If an installation window does not automatically pop up, go to the "My computer" section of your computer and click on the CD icon. You may need to look for a file called Setup.exe.

Follow the prompts to install the software. You will have to identify yourself and will probably have to type in a registry key from the box that the Bluetooth software came in. You will also have to select a folder on your computer to house the new program; the default is usually OK.

Wait for all the necessary components to finish installing. Once done, click the finish button and then restart your computer. Once your computer has been rebooted, launch the software and ensure that it is working properly with your Bluetooth device.
