Sennheiser HD 280 PRO Review

 Sennheiser HD 280 PRO Review

Its a Great product, well made, great for recording, listening to music as well as a variety of audio needs.

I use these headphones with my Roland TD-15 kit.

I just reordered a pair because the exact same model I had previously went out after 9 years of consistent use!!

 That is amazing quality!

The Sennheiser HD 280 PRO Closed-Back Headphones are circumaural headphones designed for professional monitoring applications.

With up to 32 dB external sound attenuation, it's perfect for use in noisy environments, at live shows, and by DJs.

I'm a Sennheiser user since past 6 years and I trust the brand's quality without a doubt.

But this headphone crossed the limit of my expectations.

Just when you take it out from the box and put it over your ears, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Super Noise Cancellation! Even your own voice will sound muffled.

I have used HD180 and HD200 earlier, and they are satisfactory headphones.

Then I switched to cx275s earphones for listening and they are the best sounding earphones in the range of <2k,

with the widest range of frequency from 15-23k hz.

Although a monitoring headphone and an earphone doesn't have a competition,

still I thought I should compare both, the HD280 Pro and CX275s, and boy,

The CX275s sounded like a cheap earphone in front of HD280 Pro.

The sound is crystal clear, and damn accurate!

The weight of the headphone is just cherry on top.

It's miraculously light.

The length of the cable is fairly long, more than 1 meter normally and the coiled cable can stretch upto 3+ meters easily.

Strong cable, although not very rough and tough.

Handle carefully because you don't want such a good pair of headphones to go waste just because your cable broke.

The only drawback in it is that the cable isn't detachable.

Which may cause a fault later on.

You also get a TRS adapter pin with the headphone to connect it to an audio interface or an amplifier.

Best headphones you can expect under 10,000 for sound production.

Superb Noise cancellation, superb clarity and extremely comfortable.

Would have loved if I could detach the cable, other than that, no complaints

The HD 280 PRO features rugged design and optimum sensitivity that'll make even those wimpy headphone outs on synthesizers come alive.

The headphones are below-average for office use.

The passive noise isolation will not block the chatter of a busy office.

They don't leak as much as some of the other closed-back over-ears,

but you may distract your colleagues at higher volumes.

Unfortunately, they're very tight on the head and not breathable,

which is not ideal if you're looking for a good pair of headphones to wear during your entire shift.

In other words, these headphones are nice and loud the way you need them.

The HD 280 PRO delivers detailed, natural reproduction of music and speech, and boasts a smooth frequency response from 8 Hz to 25 kHz.

Ready to pack it up? Due to their collapsible earpieces, the HD280 PRO headphones are very space-saving when it comes to transportation.

Plus, all parts subject to wear and tear, such as earpads, headband padding, and cable, are easily replaceable,

thus ensuring they'll last a long time.

The HD 280 Pro is Sennheiser's most significant closed, around-the-ear headphone to be introduced in years.

For those who comfort and sound are the most important aspect to great headphones

and Seinheiser Hd 280 blow Audio Technica's M40x out of the water for the same price
 Main use is computer.

 Buy these headphones.

 They're awesome!!!

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro have an all-black, utilitarian aesthetic that may work for some but will look bland for most.

They're a little bulky and have a studio appeal.

They're thickly padded ear cups with a detachable headband padding.

They look well made even with their all-plastic build.

Few customers use these cans for radio broadcasting, audio production work, production, listening to my Ipod, and more.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are moderately comfortable. They have large, well-padded ear cups that easily fit around most ears.

However, the detachable padding on the headband is relatively thin.

The headband is also quite tight on the head.

The pads do help to somewhat mitigate the clamping force,

but they will be uncomfortable for some listeners, especially during long listening sessions.

They have used Sennheiser headphones for years

and they outlast and sound so much better than many out there on the market today especially,

the overrated and over priced Beats headphones by Dr. Dre.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro are one of the tightest headphones on the head.

That, combined with their earcups that create a good seal around your ears, obstructs a lot of airflow,

which makes your ears very warm even after a relatively short listening session.

They will make you sweat more than average when compared to other closed-back over-ears,

and overall they're not suitable for physical activity or to use in hot environments unless you take multiple breaks.

Sennheiser headphones deliver the perfect blend of highs, mids and deep low end bass frequencies and are comfortable to wear

and, have perfect noise cancelling so you won`t hear any unwanted background noise.

Beats can`t say that.....i know because i have listened to music through them and was NOT impressed.

The Sennheiser HD 280 Pro feel sturdy and won't get damaged by a couple of drops.

The headband and ear cups are made out of dense plastic and can handle a fair amount of physical stress.

However, the ear cup joints are the weak points where these headphones are most likely to get damaged.

The swivel hinges are also a little thin.
